Outdoor education for Gender Equality

Training Course

6-13 March 2024 | Loft Hotel Bakuriani, Georgia

Youth Association Droni and Together Association are organising a one week mobility of youth workers that aims at addressing gender-based inequalities and discriminations in and through outdoor activities and non-formal education.

While we observe a general tendency towards better gender equality in our societies in the past decades, many forms of discriminations and inequalities persist and need to be tackled. Outdoor education and outdoor activities in general are not exempted of such inequalities, with gender socialization tending to trap gender minorities and women in the « indoor », rather than opening them to the « outdoor ». This Training Course for youth workers aims to make them able to implement inclusive outdoor activities or sports that can create positive tendencies and develop good habits that would benefit the youth sector, the EU and its neighboring countries.
